The Curator invites the Association to hold an informal get together at the Museum with a marquee set up near to the Monitoring Post. This is a very generous offer and is a great venue for us to meet. In the Tower the Museum houses a dedicated room to the ROC, there is a fully equipped underground monitoring Post and a well-preserved WW11 above ground Post. Of special interest read about the war- time bravery of the Post members who tried to rescue the Crew of a crashed plane and the Certificate awarded to the Observer signed by Winston Churchill.
There will be refreshments available to purchase in the Museum café, the National ROCA display stand will compliment the Post by demonstrating the role of the Ops room and how the information provided by the Post was used. This event will be well publicised, open to the general public with Press and TV media coverage individuals may be invited to talk about their ROC service.
Please come along to what promises to be an interesting great day out and opportunity to meet with friends and ROC colleagues and promote our heritage. Further details on the Broadway Tower web www.broadwaytower.co.uk
