20th Anniversary of the Stand-down of the ROC

6-8th. May 2011

At last we are able to push ahead with this for 2011. Twenty years since the stand-down of the main body of the Royal Observer Corps and a fitting time to show that the comradeship developed during it's many years is not forgotten.

The venue once more is the Royal George Hotel, Perth, where we have previously held two successful reunions in 1995 and 1997. Let's try and make this anniversary event even more successful.

The event is open to all ex-members of the ROC in Scotland and Northern Ireland, their families and partners, NOT JUST ROCA MEMBERS, and we would like to see a full house for the weekend if possible.

The format will be similar to previous events, with a gala dinner on the Saturday night followed by music and late bar. The Hotel has undergone more refurbishment since our last visit and we will have the use of the basement library for memorabilia once more. A raffle to defray expenses and in aid of the ROCBF will be held and donations for this will be most welcome.

Costs are slightly higher than in 1997 as can be expected so please make use of the savings scheme to offset this if you so wish, details on booking sheet.

With the declining membership due to age and illness this may be our last chance to have such a get-together. So spread the good word, get your booking in early, and help me to make this a happy and memorable occasion.
