(FIRST) PICTURE CAPTION
| 31 Group Royal Observer Corps Association today (Tuesday 16th October 2007) held
a Dedication and unveiling of a Memorial Plaque. The dedication was held at Knox
Road, Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, following a parade of standards. The Mayor of
Lisburn City, the, Rt. Worshipful Councillor James Tinsley, unveiled the plaque.
The ceremony was attended by the Senior Officer from Lisburn Station, Commanding Officer Northern Ireland Support Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ewen Turner and Senior RAF Officer for Northern Ireland, Group Captain David Stubbs OBE, ADC, RAF. The Service was conducted by the Reverend Chris Broddle, Chaplain to the forces and Reverend Alan Knox (former Chaplain to HM Forces). Also pictured is Mr Malcolm Napier MBE the Chairman of 31 Group Royal Observer Corps Association. |
