Would you be willing to share your memories of the ROC, in an informal interview?
I'm a science writer, researching little-known public experiments and civil defence schemes in the UK. I'm very interested to learn more about the men and women who volunteered for the the ROC. In particular: What inspired you to join the ROC? How did you find the training? What was it like to spend a weekend in the post? How did you cope with the prospect - however unlikely - of a real transition to war? If you'd be willing to talk to me about any of this, I'd be very pleased to hear your personal recollections.
Your recollections will enable me to feature the story of the ROC in a forthcoming book about unusual public experiments and altruistic projects in the UK. I'm hoping this book will be published in 2010.

(Some of you met me at the ROC meeting, Newhaven Fort - thanks to everyone who has helped so far).
